How Content Creation Helped Build The True Prizes Brand
If you've ever followed True Prizes on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, you've probably seen the videos, photos, live draws and behind-the-scenes content we post throughout the week.
What many people don't realise is that building a social media presence doesn't happen overnight.
It takes time.
It takes effort.
And most importantly, it takes consistency.
Today, I wanted to share a little about how content creation has helped shape True Prizes and give credit to one of the people who helped us along the way.
The Early Days
When True Prizes first launched, we quickly realised that having a website wasn't enough.
You can have the best website in the world, but if nobody knows it exists, it doesn't help your business grow.
We needed a way to introduce ourselves to people.
We needed a way to show that there were real people behind the company.
Most importantly, we needed a way to build trust.
That's where social media came in.
Working With Tom From TJSM Runs
One of the people who helped us during those early stages was Tom from TJSM Runs.
Tom is a videographer who not only helped us create content but also played a role in helping us build our social media presence.
Like many small businesses, we started with ideas but needed help bringing those ideas to life.
Tom helped us create videos, capture content and understand how important it was to tell our story rather than simply advertise competitions.
For that, we're incredibly grateful.
Building a business is rarely a solo journey.
There are always people who contribute along the way, and Tom was certainly one of those people for True Prizes.
Why We Focus On Content
People don't buy from businesses they don't trust.
Especially online.
Before someone enters a competition, they often want to know:
-
Who owns the business?
-
Are the draws genuine?
-
Do winners actually receive prizes?
-
Is this a company I can trust?
Content helps answer those questions.
Every video.
Every photo.
Every live draw.
Every behind-the-scenes post.
They all help customers get to know us a little better.
Showing The Real Business
One thing we've always tried to do is show the reality of running True Prizes.
The good days.
The stressful days.
The winner calls.
The late nights.
The planning sessions.
The family involvement.
Because that's what makes the business real.
People connect with people.
Not logos.
Not websites.
People.
What We've Learned
If there's one thing I've learned from creating content, it's this:
Nobody cares that your first video isn't perfect.
Nobody cares if your first photo isn't professional.
Nobody expects you to have everything figured out from day one.
The biggest mistake people make is waiting until everything is perfect before they start.
If we'd done that, True Prizes would probably still be sitting in a notebook somewhere.
Instead, we started.
We learned.
We improved.
And we're still improving today.
The Lesson
The lesson from today's blog is simple:
Consistency beats perfection.
Whether you're building a business, starting a fitness journey, learning a new skill or creating content online, the people who succeed are rarely the ones who start perfectly.
They're the ones who keep showing up.
One post.
One video.
One improvement at a time.
Most people quit before they give themselves a chance.
The people who keep going are usually the people who eventually see results.
Looking Ahead
Content creation continues to be a huge part of True Prizes.
It's how we connect with customers.
It's how we share our journey.
It's how we celebrate winners.
And it's how we continue building trust with the people who support us.
The videos may change.
The platforms may change.
The style may change.
But one thing won't.
We'll continue showing up, sharing our journey and taking you along for the ride.
Thanks for being part of it.
