The Small Decisions That Built True Prizes
When people look at a business, it's easy to focus on the big moments.
Launching the website.
Giving away a big prize.
Reaching a milestone.
Seeing a winner drive away in a new car.
Those moments are exciting.
But they're not what built True Prizes.
It Started With One Decision
True Prizes didn't appear overnight.
It started with one decision.
To stop talking about an idea and actually do something about it.
At the time, we had no idea where the journey would take us.
We just knew we wanted to build something we could be proud of.
Looking back, that first decision was probably the most important one we ever made.
Every Day Brings More Decisions
Running a business is a series of small decisions.
What competitions should we run?
What content should we film today?
How can we improve the website?
What can we do better for our customers?
None of these decisions seem life-changing on their own.
But over time, they all add up.
That's how businesses grow.
Not Every Decision Has Been Right
I'd love to tell you we've always made the right choices.
We haven't.
We've launched competitions that didn't perform as well as we hoped.
We've spent money on ideas that didn't work.
We've filmed videos that never saw the light of day.
We've changed our minds more times than I can remember.
But every mistake has taught us something.
Every lesson has helped us improve.
Progress Is Often Invisible
One thing I've learned is that progress doesn't always feel exciting.
Sometimes it looks like answering customer messages.
Sometimes it's checking ticket numbers.
Sometimes it's filming another video.
Sometimes it's writing another blog like this one.
Individually, they don't feel like huge achievements.
Together, they're building something bigger.
Looking Back Makes You Appreciate The Journey
When you're in the middle of building a business, it's easy to focus on everything that's left to do.
You rarely stop and look at how far you've already come.
When I think back to where True Prizes started, I realise just how many small steps have brought us here.
Every customer.
Every competition.
Every Sunday live draw.
Every winner.
Every lesson.
They've all played a part.
The Lesson
Today's lesson is simple.
Success isn't built in one big moment.
It's built through hundreds of small decisions.
People often wait for the perfect opportunity.
The perfect idea.
The perfect time.
The truth is, success usually comes from showing up every day and doing the small things well.
Those small actions might not feel important today.
But in a year's time, you'll realise they were the foundation for everything that came next.
Thank You
To everyone who's been part of the True Prizes journey so far, thank you.
Whether you've entered one competition or one hundred.
Whether you've liked a post, shared a video or joined us on a Sunday evening.
You've helped us build something that we're incredibly proud of.
We're still learning.
We're still growing.
And we're still making those small decisions every single day.
Hopefully, they'll continue leading us towards something even bigger.
